Riley's pumpkin
Rhonda had pumpkins for Riley and his daycare friends to decorate today :) Riley tried to spell out the word "ghost" with stickers :)
Austin's 1st snapshot
The Verdict is In!
We are good at making boys!
Austin has showed his handsome little face (among other things)
today :)
We can officially announce we are having another baby boy!!!
Ultrasound
pictures always make the baby look kind of creepy, but I figure he is
just dressed up as Iron Man in time for Halloween to match his brothers'
Avengers costumes, HAHA!!

Early Trick or Treating
Cloudcroft had a Halloween festival where the boys got to trick or treat a few days early :)
Andrew and Riley were very excited to get into their Avengers costumes! Andrew was the scary Hulk and Riley was the strong Thor!!!

Pumpkin Patch
Andrew got to go to the zoo, the pumpkin patch, and McDonald's on Monday with his homecare provider Leslie because there was no school. Then when they got back to her house they painted and decorated the pumpkins and then got to bring it home :)
Halloween Hoodies
I have been forgetting to update the blog again, tsk tsk. That's what I get for using a mobile device...

Veterans Day Poem
White Sands Monument
We rented a sled this weekend and took the boys up to White Sands Monument for the first time. The gate isn't far from the house, but once you go through the gate you drive about 13 miles before you get to the place to park and ride your sled, and there is sand as far as the eye could see. I have no idea how many miles of sand there actually is. The sand is all white as snow, and even though we thought it would be hot sand since we were in a dessert it was surprisingly cool and nice to dig your toes into. We all had a blast taking turns sledding down the big sand dunes and there was even a picnic area with grills and stuff that we will know to utilize next time!
Kaylee Jayne Brockman
This is Kaylee, a puppy we adopted yesterday from a rescue group who had found her and her 9 brothers and sisters on the side of the road abandoned. We were supposed to just be fostering her for the night to help out another mom from the school but Adam bonded with her and so we decided to keep her. Molly didn't quite know what to thi
Emma Marie Brockman
This is Emma; she is the kitten we also adopted this weekend. The original deal was since we weren't going to keep the puppy Adam could get Emma, but he ended up getting both :) She came with her name.
She is such a sweetie, though, and is really a good cat, which is saying a lot from me because I don't generally bond well with kittens. I think we have found good little fits for our pet family!

Name of the day
Andrew got "name of the day" in his class today and all the students drew him a picture. Most of them drew what he was wearing today and some drew detail right down to his bright green sneakers!

Las Cruces
Had a nice trip to Las Cruces; Adam was
thrilled to find a Weinershnitzel, we got to step foot in a mall again,
the boys found bouncy houses and got balloon characters, and we caught a
3D showing of Hotel Transylvania :)
Goblins
The boys are apparently getting ready for Halloween by dressing up as goblins with the air mattress bags because mean Mom won't let them play with their Avengers costumes, lol
Family Fun Afternoon
This past Tuesday there was a family fun afternoon event planned in the soccer fields and I didn't think the boys would get a chance to go because it was before I got out of work, but Dad came to the rescue and took them instead :)
I was surprised to hear that Andrew got his face painted (another thing he refused in the past) and even more surprised when he didn't want to let me wash it off that evening before bed. Riley, however, did not want his face painted.
They had an awesome time in the bouncy castles as always :)

Mountain Top Fire Safety Day
Last weekend we drove up to the top of the mountain to the town of Cloudcroft for their annual Mountain Top Fire Safety Day. It was a nice setup with wrecked car displays, a fire house, and fire truck ladder displays as well. The boys got to sit in the rescue helicopter and a fire truck, and they were given souvenir fire chief helmets too! They got to see Sparky and Riley high-fived an owl character (whose name I was not familiar with). Andrew even got close to the character which was a huge surprise :) We even saw a gopher coming up from underground as we were walking around! The boys also enjoyed the little games and bouncy houses they had set up for kids!
Pirates
The second or third week of school was Pirate week where they learned about pirates the entire week and all of their curriculum revolved around pirate stuff. They even got to find buried treasure and make these cool pirate hats with their names. Andrew is getting better at writing his name, still a little messy but not as crooked!!
Matching
I don't exactly find posting to the blog user-friendly from a mobile device but I miss seeing the updated blog so I am going to bring it up to date and try to keep it updated. (But, I still cannot wait for real internet again!!!)
Andrew's homework can sometimes be a battle, but this assignment he actually enjoyed: matching uppercase letters with lowercase. (This is also when Mom had helmet hair everyday, lol)
