From Lindi

Lindi still sends the boys holiday cards each year; here they are opening their Halloween cards from her. As you can tell Riley wasn't exactly interested in reading the inside, but he did like the picture on the front!!

Halloween Gifts

The boys spent their Halloween cash from Gramma and Grampa at the BX today! Andrew got his RescueBot Optimus Prime (he told me what he was going to buy from the minute he acquired the cash!) and Riley found a new train named Arthur we don't have yet!!

Happy Halloween

We got some Halloween goodies in the mail today; the boys got song cards with $10 cash EACH, name signs from Conway (Andrew Ave. and Riley Blvd.) and personalized ones from Gramma with their full names on a holographic plaque, coloring books, glow sticks, parachuters, movies, swirly straw cups and of course CANDY!!! Mommy and Daddy both got candy too with personalized washcloths, light-up cup holders for Daddy and jewelry and creepy salad tongs for Mommy!!!

Halloween Fall Fest

We went to the FallFest on base tonight in celebration of Halloween; I uploaded some pictures but the quality is not that great since I am currently without an actual camera, but hopefully after Christmas that will change ;)

Daddy wasn't able to join us until the end because he got called into work, but we had fun getting some candy and playing games!!

One of the funniest parts was at the first tent where Andrew said "Trick or Treat" and the guy said "Go ahead and take two" to which Andrew replied "You're supposed to give me the candy." LOL; that's my boy...

Festa della Zucca

We went to Venzone for the Pumpkin Festival today; traffic was a bit busy, but we got to see a beautiful view of the mountains! Venzone is built inside of an old castle complete with a moat and everything!! The boys got to climb a pile of debris from a church that had fallen down; Daddy had to help Riley a bit, but Andrew was as brave as ever walking around on the top ledge (maybe a little too brave). The festival was really interesting, but none of the hundreds of pumpkin flavored foods appealed to us (they had so many including pumpkin burgers, pasta, even pizza!) so we went to McDonalds on the way home! The boys liked it because there was a play area after we ate too!!

Halloween Rap Video

Although Adam
Although Daddy would not "officially" approve, the boys and I made a little rap video; just couldn't resist :)

Happy Halloween

I know it is a day early, but tonight was the 'Trunk or Treat' on base. We didn't actually make it to the cars unfortunately with the line being so long, but we stood in line and candy was delivered via wagon as we waited. It was a bummer, but next year we will know to get there even earlier!! The boys looked cute anyway! There were 3 other Batmans, but Riley was the only Robin!! We snuck into the commissary to buy some more candy to compensate...haha!

More Halloween Goodies

The boys got cards from Mimi & Papa with MONEY inside!! Andrew was very excited about the money and Riley will get up to speed when he realizes that he can buy something with it!!

Jack...carved

SO...it was bugging me that he looked silly, so I decided to carve him. The design WAS a little bit intricate for an inexperienced carver like me, but I did my best and Andrew and I had fun making a mess!!

First Halloween Box

We received our first Halloween box today...from Grammy & Grampy! Here are the boys with their goodies!!!! And, yes, Riley dove right into the candy, BUT mean Mommy took it away since it was his bedtime :( lol

Jack

Our pumpkin this year is Jack Skelton from "The Nightmare before Christmas" (Daddy's favorite movie!). I didn't get a carving kit thinking the face would be too complicated, I decided to just trace it, but it would have looked much better carved. Oh well, we'll carve again next year! It still came out cute, though, don't you think??

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Window Clings

Grammy and Grampy sent us some Halloween decorations to put up, this is what Andrew decided to do with the window clings; what art!!

Gigglin' Gus

Andrew, Riley and I carved our pumpkin this morning into Gigglin' Gus. I cheated and used a kids pattern book but it was a lot of fun, we'll have to do more next year!!

PUMPKINS...

Yesterday when we went to visit at Papa and Mimi's house we went down to the pumpkin patch at their church and Andrew picked out a pumpkin for each of us. He wasn't able to choose just one for the baby, so I let him get both that he liked. Since he is still a little small to be doing cutting and carving, we decided to try those new pumpkin push-ins they sell and let Andrew pick out whose pumpkin each would go on. Daddy's is the big one on the left, Mommy's is on the right and Andrew's is on the bottom in the middle of the two for the baby. They came out wicked cute and now we just have to put them out on the deck so people can enjoy them on Friday night!!!!
