Treviso

We took the train to Treviso today. It was smaller than most of the other cities we have seen, but there were still a lot of gorgeous sights and we had an awesome time!!!

Alligator Pool

I inflated the boy's alligator pool this morning, and we had a nice "splash fest". It was a nice way to cool down on a hot morning!! It also has a sprinkler you can attach a hose to, which will be really nice when it gets even HOTTER!!! And YES I did get in with them and there is plenty of room for more people....maybe Daddy???? Probably NOT!!!!

Trieste

We took a family trip yesterday to Trieste. It was really HOT, but so worth it, the city was gorgeous!!! It sits right on the water and we saw all kinds of sailboats and even a big yacht docked, it was awesome!! Adam and I tried Cafe Zero for the first time, which is a frozen flavored espresso drink, and the boys had ice cream sandwiches (Sorry I did not get a picture of that mess, I was too busy keeping it out of Daddy's lap or the floor, haha!!) One interesting thing about Trieste is there are a few statues that seem out of place, like a man standing in the middle of the bridge sidewalk, and a man standing on two different side streets as well. They seem out of place, but that makes it all the more interesting like they are "part" of the crowd. There were a few different sites of Roman remains, which we were anxious to see, and to get to the arch we had to walk up a really steep hill with a narrow sidewalk, with the Italians whizzing by, but it was a great sight!!! We had a GREAT time!!

Armedeo Orfei

We went to the Italian circus today; it was pretty similar to an American circus except for we didn't understand the ringmaster, but it was a good show, EXCEPT for anyone that knows me really well, knows I DESPISE snakes, and for some reason one of the acts was playing with snakes and alligators, but whatever makes them happy I guess... The rollerskating act was mine and Adam's favorite, the guy spun the girl around by her feet and then by her head which was extremely impressive. Andrew's favorite part was of course the elephant, which he thought it was funny that the elephant was painting the guy's face with mayonnaise. He had a chance to sit on the elephant but he wasn't willing to do that... Riley was dancing to all the music and we had a fun time despite the heat you always get in a circus tent.

Skater Dude

He looks cute, but this probably ups the DANGER risk of a fearless 3-year old; FIRST rollerskates NOW a skateboard. SOMEONE HELP ME, haha!! Luckily, though, he doesn't really know how to ride it, he just thinks it's cool to stand on.

Picking Up

Riley actually enjoys putting his toys back in the bucket, but only because he thinks it's a game, haha!!! Of course within 2 minutes he will dump them all back out, but it's a start!!

Oreo Face

Andrew decided to share his dessert with Riley and he decided to feed his ENTIRE face!! He was very proud of himself, though, and crawled right over to show me, so I couldn't resist snapping a picture of it LOL!!!
