G-Force

We went to the base theatre tonight to see G-Force. We had a ball and Andrew really enjoyed the movie!! And of course he and Daddy had popcorn too!!

Pizza

Tonight we had a pizza Sicily style!! It had Zesty Marinara Sauce, Italian Sausage, Mozzarella, Fontina & Parmesan Cheese, Spicy Ham, Salami & Basil. It was SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

Benvenuti Tour

Today was our Benvenuti Tour through the base. We went to lots of places such as Gorgazzo Springs, Porcia Market, Pordenone Square & Historical Center, St Mark's Cathedral, and Piazza Cavour. We then took a train to Sacile, ate a 4-course meal at Ristorante Ciasa de Gahja in Budoia and then went to the "Pordere Gelisi Antonio" winery in Vilotte di San Quirino for a wine tasting where we bought 3 bottles!!

Trains

Here is Andrew teaching Riley how to play trains!!! He gave Riley the small TakeAlong Stanley while he played with the big TrackMaster Percy!!!

Tortelloni

I made Kase-Tortelloni with Sauce Arrabiata for supper...the sauce was a little zesty but other than that, it acutally came out really good...but before you give my culinary arts too much credit, it was pasta and sauce I bought from the commissary..a good start though, right??

Rattle

We went to the playground today and I took some pictures of Andrew playing with a little girl named Amy, however when I got back to the room and went to upload them, somehow they got deleted, so unfortanately no pictures there, we will have to get some more another day!! But, I did take a picture of Riley holding his rattle yesterday and had already uploaded that one to the computer, so that is not lost...WHAT A CLUTZ!!!

Anyway, Riley is actually holding his own rattle for longer periods of time now before he drops it...so EXCITING!!!

ITALY

So, Italy has turned out to beautiful, we are all adjusting well and we now start the house hunting process!! We went to look at 3 houses today; the first one was dirty and run-down and the landlord looked like a slob himself, so we were very anxious to get out of there!! The second one was better than the first, but was on the second floor and in the middle of being renovated on the outside and was roomy on the inside, but still not as clean and tidy as we would have hoped. The third one had the same landlord as the second and actually turned out to be quite decent, but only had a 3/4 bathroom which was also located right off the kitchen (not the best place for a toilet in my opinion, haha) But, Adam's sponsor is going to look up some different neighborhoods with 3 bedroom houses/duplexes with at least 1.5 baths and we will go look at more tomorrow, better luck then!!!

Romantic getaway

Adam and I had tickets to go to Six Flags and stay overnight in a hotel, but I got sick after only just getting through the gate so we didn't end up riding at all and just came back to the hotel to relax. I took a long nap, so let's hope it will go away before Monday for our flight. Not exactly a fun day, but Adam is taking good care of me!

Emily's Birthday Party

Andrew and I went to Emily's birthday party todaywhile Riley stayed home and had some bonding time with Daddy. We had a fun time and Andrew got very excited when Emily opened her soccer ball and princess Yahtzee game from him. He also picked out a Dora singing card and kept insisting she listen to it, haha! Sensia, another girl that used to go to daycare with him was there as well and the three of them had fun playing together!!

Solids

We gave Riley his first dish of baby food today. It was sweet potatoes and he rubbed it all over his face and hair!!!

HE'S HOME!!

Here is Adam with Andrew after his flight came in!! We are SO excited to have him home!! But, he looks a little different everytime we see him!!
