Willie Wonka

We went to a play the Aviano Community Club & Drama Club was putting on of "Willie Wonka for Kids". It was a pretty cute show and Andrew seemed to enjoy it. Riley did not look sitting still that long, but that is to be expected, haha!!

Self-feeding

Riley has been working on feeding himself, he is doing pretty well. Of course, I still have to handle the regular food, he just sticks his fingers in that and makes a MESS, but the dry finger food he does good with!!

Uh-Oh

Adam had a little incident at work today...he almost cut the end of his finger off...luckily they were able to glue it together, but on a sour note they are not sure if that is going to hold or not so he may have to go back in for stitches, but he is fine, thank God and still has a finger!! The weird part is he has no idea what happened, it has just been numb, no pain at all.

Basketball

This was our first week of basketball practice, Andrew seemed to have fun, but I don't think he really understood the whole concept of following rules and organized sports!! We worked on dribbling, played red light/green light and they also got to play with some hula hoops at the end, that Andrew did understand, he got it to roll REALLY well!!

Dr Appt

Andrew had his 3 year check-up this morning. He is 30 lbs and 40 inches tall!!! He got a healthy report and his medical release to start basketball officially TOMORROW!!!

Advent Presents

Now that everyone has received their packages in the mail, I can reveal all of the advent presents that we made and sent out!!

We had them all up on the wall so that Andrew could see all that we had made and admire them.

We had tons of fun making them all and I hope our families enjoyed them just as much!!!

Cookies

We made Daddy some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies this afternoon to show him how proud we are of him!! I'm not impressed with how they look, but I must say...they tasted SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!

Carousel

They installed a carousel right by the commissary, Andrew had a fun time changing money into tokens and putting them in the machine in order to ride it!!

It's Official

Adam finished all of his certifications today, he is now fully qualified to do his job!!! He now has a line badge, competency card, and government driver's license!! Here he is fresh off the flightline...

Check-Up

Riley went in for a doctor's appointment today. He weighs 16 lbs 4 oz and is 28 inches long now!! She said according to statistics he is
"clinically underweight" which I chuckled at considering he is my little Butterball!! But, at least we know he is not overweight, just fat skin I guess, haha!! He did well except for the fact that he had to have 6 shots, and he was VERY mad at Mommy and the nurse!!

Favorite Pasttime

Both of these videos show the boy's new favorite pasttime; running and chasing each other; ENJOY!!!

Basketball Registration

We went and did Andrew's official registration for basketball today!! He got a basketball and a scrimmage vest for practicing and offical practices start on January 26th at 5pm so we will keep you posted!!!

Moustache

Andrew was very proud of himself this morning when he made a Smores Pop-Tart moustache to match Grampy's!!

ICE CREAM

Andrew helped me make homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream after we got home. It was a little strong so next time I am going to cut back on the peppermint extract, but overall it was good for our first time I THINK!!

Udine

We took the train to Udine today. It was gorgeous and a treat for us as well because we hadn't been there yet either. We ate at a McCafe which was very yummy and nice for us because it has been A LONG TIME since we had McDonald's....silly, huh??

Driving Around

It was rainy again today, so since we couldn't go anywhere on foot we took a drive through Polcenigo, Budoia and around Aviano. We showed them the Gorgazzo Springs and had lunch at the Pizzeria Trattoria in Aviano. We also saw this interesting cave-looking thing in the parking lot.

Downtown Walk

We went downtown today to show Grammy & Grampy around and we saw a few more things we hadn't seen yet...it still amazes me even though I have seen it several times!!

96 Ford Windstar

After 2 months of waiting, I finally got my van last week!! It runs really well and is in great shape on the inside considering it is 13 years old!!
