Ugly 2010

Yesterday I forgot to post a picture of my ugly this year from Cathy; quite the Hawaiian princess, huh? I really love this tradition, I need to find hers still!!!

Gift Cards

Today, after church, the boys and I went to spend their gift card money from Bumpa and Nani. You will be upset to learn that they passed up a two-person Smart car that I was trying to convince them to buy, but Andrew insisted they needed the kitchen so he could get his Batcave as well, so Riley picked out a pull-along wagon too. Both of them kept putting all kinds of things in the cart, it was quite the expedition, but we narrowed it down and even had extra left over to get some more outfits!! Thank you again Bumpa and Nani!!!

It took me quite awhile to put the kichenette and the Batcave together (the batcave was quite the challenge), luckily Riley's wagon didn't need any assembling, he's already got it piled up with toys!

More Christmas Presents!

Our Christmas box from Bumpa and Nani came today!! The presents for Daddy are being stored upstairs and you will have to wait until July to see them, but here are our presents!

The boys are obsessed with the drumset, they will definitely get their usage out of it! They got tons of great presents, and even some money to spend too!! We are lucky this year, our Christmas season is extending throughout the new year!!

Playground

While we were at the base playground, I got a good shot of both of the boys, Andrew found lots of other things to climb on for C week, and Riley even did some climbing of his own!!

C is for...

We had to rearrange the activities this week around which day we were going to base, so it is a little out of order; next week will be too because we will hopefully be traveling to Maine!

On Monday, we found around the house: crayons, camera, couch, computer, controllers, coat rack, calendar, cutting boards, candle, and comforters!! On Tuesday, we made a big Carousel cookie which unfortunately collapsed, but the cookie part was YUMMY!! On Wednesday, we read about and colored a picture of a caterpillar!! On Thursday, we went over our toys and found Cozy Coupe, cars, a caboose, chairs (patio and outside plastic ones), and chalk. On Friday, for our craft of the week, we made crowns!! And, today, for our activity, we went to the base playground and went on the climbing wall.

Loaner Car

This is the rental car they gave me while they are fixing the van; AND to think I thought Adam's rental car was small!!! I really can't complain since I am not paying for it, but it's lucky the kids legs are small enough to be crammed into the backseat, haha!!

B is for...

On Monday, we found around the house: a breadmaker, baskets, beds, bookshelves, a broom, bakeware, bowls, a bike, the bathtub, and a backpack!! On Tuesday, we made Great Grammy Dottie's banana bread. On Wednesday, we read about and colored a picture of a bear!! On Thursday, we created our own game of bowling at home. On Friday, we went over our toys and found binoculars, balls, blocks, Bullseye (Woody's horse), and Batman (of course!!). And, today for our craft of the week, we made a bunny out of a baby food jar!!!

Let the Countdown Begin...

I wasn't going to do a countdown calendar, but I enjoyed getting to cross off the numbers with Andrew every day the last time, and since I didn't buy myself any chocolate...haha!! I added on a few extra days so the boys wouldn't be upset if we finished the calendar before he actually got here and extra days are always better than not enough. As you can tell, Andrew helped me and it turned into quite the project. I didn't zoom in so you could see just how long it really is...

A Kiss A Day...

One of the other wives said she always gets candy that her kids can eat as a countdown to when her husband comes back. We were going to do M&Ms like she does, but I thought it would be cuter to do Hershey's Kisses so they will be like kisses from Daddy. Here are the boy's bowls...overflowing :( but they will go down!!!

A is for...

This week was our first week of doing structured learning, so it was a little rough, but hopefully as the weeks go on, we will get better and it will get easier!!

On Monday, we found around the house: an archway, apples, aprons, air freshener, aluminum foil, Adobo, Axe body wash, 'Albert's Special Day'(a book), 'A Bug's Life' (a movie), and of course, the one and only Andrew!! On Tuesday, we made Apple Crisp (which unfortunately was yucky). On Wednesday, we read about and colored a picture of an ant!! On Thursday, we flew paper airplanes. On Friday, we went over our toys and found an alligator, a ride-on airplane, a toy airplane, the Sodor Airport, the animal shop in their play town, and an apple tree in their little town. And, today for our craft of the week, we made an Aquarium!!!

I am all out of black ink so we haven't started the official curriculum, but it is probably better to start him off slow anyway!!
