Andrew's School Wardrobe

These are Andrew's new outfits (and pajamas) for school!! He will have to grow into most of them, but luckily most of them are also adjustable in the waist which helps a lot. He is growing into quite the little man if I may say so myself!

Riley's Fall Collection

Riley needed some new clothes for the new season too!! Some are big, but VERY cute in my biased opinion!!!

Hamburger Spaceships

Does this bring back memories Dad???

It was a nice blast from the past since I haven't had these since I was a kid. Andrew didn't like them as much as I had hoped, but they turned out pretty well considering I just pulled this out of my head from a long time ago. Just prepare stuffing as directed on box. Prepare hamburger patties, put one in a pan, put a scoop of stuffing in the middle and then take another hamburger patty and place it over the top of the mound sealing the stuffing in and pinch the edges to seal. I baked them at 350F for about 30 minutes, but that was with a gas stove, electric may be different. We dipped them in ketchup because they were kind of dry, but I would change it a little if I made them again. It was still a nice blast from the past though!!!

Glow Glasses

Andrew has been playing with these glasses non-stop and even convinced Daddy to play in the dark with him. He closes himself in the bathroom with the light out so he can see them glow, haha!! Here they are, I thought this picture was really cool looking since all you can see is the neon reflection on their eyes!

Cake Balls

These were a big hit with the boys!!

Bake your favorite cake mix (we used double chocolate fudge) as directed. When it is cool, crumble cake into a large bowl and add 1/2 can of frosting (we used peanut butter frosting). Use your hands to mash together, adding more frosting if it seems dry (we ended up using about 3/4). Roll into walnut-size balls and put on a wax-paper-covered cookie sheet. For the icing, mix together 4 cups of powdered sugar and 8 TBS water until smooth (add more water as needed). Dip each ball in the icing and place back on the wax paper and coat with sprinkles. Let them set until the icing hardens!!

End of Summer Block Party

There was a block party for the end of summer on base today; they didn't have a very big turnout since it was a little overcast, but the boys had a blast anyway. We were the only people that went inside to see the base band playing, so we only stayed for 2 songs. Adam said he would not have played at all if there was no crowd...haha!! But the most fun was had outside, Andrew and Riley both bounced in the bouncy houses, and Andrew played two games and won himself and Riley some glow stick glasses. There were also Sumo Wrestler suits the kids could put on and wrestle with each other, but Andrew wasn't having that even after watching other kids do it; Adam said he didn't blame him, but that's the party pooper talking ;)

Cheeseburger Joes

These were similar to sloppy joes, but different enough to warrant their own recipe; very good change!!

1 lb ground beef
1/2 c BBQ sauce
1/4 c ketchup
4 cheddar cheese slices
4 hamburger buns

Brown the ground beef; drain if necessary. Add in BBQ sauce and ketchup, stir well and cook until heated through. Scoop mixture onto hamburg buns and top with cheese!

We had them with french fries!!

Starbucks Ice Cream

Adam and I had Starbucks' Java Chip Frappuccino Ice Cream for the first time tonight; it was scrumptious!! It is rich coffee ice cream with big chocolate chunks, SO GOOD!! They even made the carton look like a Starbucks coffee cup!!

Light Show

Andrew put on a little light show for the family tonight after bathtime. It was quite enjoyable!! I don't know if you can make it out completely, but he is dancing around with his little flashlight in hand!!

We went to the 42nd annual Folklore Festival in Aviano this morning. It was a really neat experience, I combined some of each performance into a little movie for you guys; enjoy!!

Clever

This is Riley's clever attempt to get into the bathroom. I keep the door shut now to keep him out of the toilet and away from the toilet paper and he figured out he could turn the handle by pushing Andrew's step stool up to the door. Usually Andrew's step stool would be inside the bathroom, but this is Andrew's attempt to get into the freezer by himself. It's a good thing I have eyes everywhere; are these the kind of things siblings are SUPPOSED to teach other?? LOL...
